Outreach Community Partners
Forty Carrots Family Center is dedicated to our Community Outreach based programming. It is an integral part of our community work focused on preventing childhood trauma and strengthening families by giving families the tools to provide their children with the strong foundation necessary to reach their full potential, regardless of their obstacles.
We are proud to collaborate and partner with the following agencies in Sarasota and Manatee counties, bringing our expertise in Parenting Education, Mental Health and Early Childhood Education to clients who would otherwise not have access. Forty Carrots raises funds through private philanthropy and foundation grants to support partner programming.

LIGHTSHARE
Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery’s mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources to achieve long-lasting recovery and optimal health.

MANATEE COUNTY LIBRARIES
The Manatee County Public Library System’s mission is to welcome all members of the community to learn, grow, and connect, aiming to be the vibrant center of the neighborhood.

ALSO YOUTH
ALSO Youth’s mission is to empower LGBTQ+ youth and their allies while creating inclusive communities in Sarasota and Manatee counties. They focus on advocacy, leadership, support, and outreach, providing safe spaces and services for individuals ages 10-24.
SAFE CHILDREN COALITION
The Safe Children Coalition (SCC) in Sarasota has a core mission to protect children and youth, strengthen families, and build community. Serving Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto counties, the organization acts as a lead agency for community-based care, providing foster care, adoption, prevention, and diversion services.
SPARCC
The mission of SPARCC (Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center) in Sarasota is to provide a safe haven and promote empowerment, awareness, and social change to end domestic and sexual violence. They serve survivors in Sarasota and DeSoto counties through comprehensive, confidential, and free services.
NAMI SARASOTA AND MANATEE COUNTIES
The mission of NAMI Sarasota and Manatee Counties is to improve the lives of individuals, families, and caregivers on their journey to mental wellness. They achieve this through support, education, and advocacy, while working to eliminate the stigma of mental illness.
EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF SARASOTA COUNTY
The mission of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County is to enhance the potential of students, promote excellence in teaching, and inspire innovation in education, guided by strategic philanthropy. They are an independent partner working to prepare students for life, college, and career.
SARASOTA COUNTY LIBRARIES
The mission of the Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources is “Ensuring all residents can access and enjoy the quality of life that makes Sarasota County a great place to live, work, grow, play and learn”. The system aims to provide equal access to information, foster lifelong learning, and inspire community engagement.
DeSOTO COUNTY LIBRARY
The DeSoto County Library is committed to providing user-oriented services, including books, magazines, audio and visual materials, as well as computers with internet access and a children’s center for educational games. It is the Heartland Library Cooperative aimed at serving the community.
SELAH FREEDOM
Selah Freedom’s mission is to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited. As a faith-based non-profit based in Sarasota, they achieve this through five key pillars: Awareness, Prevention, Outreach, Residential, and Consulting.
MOTHERS HELPING MOTHERS
Mothers Helping Mothers (MHM) of Sarasota is committed to supporting local families in need by fostering resiliency, self-sufficiency, and family stability. They provide free essential goods, such as clothing and baby supplies, while offering educational and support programs to empower families and lighten their burdens.
TEEN COURT OF SARASOTA
Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc. provides a second chance for at-risk youth by utilizing peer mentorship, restorative justice, and civic engagement to avoid criminal records. They empower young people to make healthy choices through accountability, education, and intervention programs.
HARVEST HOUSE OF SARASOTA
Harvest House of Sarasota’s mission is to champion hope and transform lives by providing service-enriched, affordable housing and supporting individuals in addiction recovery, families, and at-risk youth. They aim to break cycles of homelessness, poverty, and trauma in the community, with a focus on stability and empowerment.
CHILDREN’S CANCER CENTER
The Children’s Cancer Center (CCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children and their families battling cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing the emotional, financial, and educational support necessary to cope with life-threatening illnesses. They aim to help families from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and bereavement.

LACTATION LOOP
Lactation Loop of Sarasota aims to provide high-quality, evidence-based lactation support and perinatal education to families, helping them achieve their personal feeding goals. Their mission focuses on providing expert, compassionate care—whether in-home, in-office, or virtual—to ensure families feel supported, seen, and empowered throughout their breastfeeding or bottle-feeding journey.
CHILD PROTECTION CENTER
The mission of the Child Protection Center (CPC), Inc. is the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse. Serving Sarasota and DeSoto counties, the organization works to provide all services at no cost to families to ensure children are safe from abuse and free to thrive.
FIRST 1000 DAYS
First 1000 Days Suncoast (serving the Sarasota region) is a partnership of non-profit organizations, health providers, and the Barancik Foundation that aims to support families during pregnancy and a child’s first 1,000 days. The mission is to connect families with resources to ensure a strong start, as 80% of brain development occurs during this critical period.
THE SALVATION ARMY
The Salvation Army of Sarasota’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. As part of the USA Southern Territory, they are motivated by the love of God to serve the community, providing services that address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
SCHOOL DISTRICT OF MANATEE COUNTY
SOAR IN 4 – A Manatee County’s Initiative that ensures all 4-year-olds and their families have the opportunities and support they need for success in preschool, school, and beyond. Partners In Play® bilingual parenting groups are offered to families from six Title 1 Public Schools monthly, year-round.
TEENAGE PARENT PROGRAM (TAPP) – This program facilitates the completion of high school for any expecting or parenting teenage students in the Manatee County Public School System. Parenting education groups are provided weekly to the parents during the school year.

SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS
ALTA VISTA – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, mental health groups are offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Counseling Department and administration.
BRENTWOOD ELEMENTARY– A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from 1st to 5th grades. Throughout the school year, individual therapy is offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Social Worker.
CYESIS TEEN PARENT PROGRAM AT RIVERVIEW HIGH & NORTH PORT HIGH – A program for pregnant and parenting teens and their children at the Sarasota County Public School System, to support completion of their high school program. Parenting education groups are offered weekly during the school year.
FRUITVILLE ELEMENTARY – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, mental health groups are offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Counseling Department.
GOCIO ELEMENTARY – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Partners In Play® bilingual parenting groups are offered weekly to families with children under the age of five, during the school year. A Spanish parenting education series is also provided to their Latino incoming Kindergarten families, during summer months at their Parent University.
TUTTLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students in grades Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, Individual therapy is provided weekly to students identified by the school’s Social Worker. Partners In Play® parenting groups are offered weekly to families with children under the age of five, during the school year.
